My VERY New 2008 NFL Mock Draft: Tell me which picks you like and dislike and the reason.?
i like your first 4 picks
kansas city will probably try to trade down to a team trying to get matt ryan (maybe baltimore or carolina) so they can get extra draft picks and a good OT in the process
the patriots should aim for a CB since they lost pro bowl corner asante samuel and nickel corner randall gay
the ravens will either trade up to get matt ryan or draft a CB or OT, not sedrick ellis
cincy will probably aim for a defensive player, like sedrick ellis or keith rivers
buffalo will consider WRs like devin thomas, but will probably draft a CB so u got that right but u should consider that too
i like the picks from denver to houston
philidelphia will aim for one of the top 5 O-lineman, but if theyre gond, they will aim for a WR such as devin thomas or limas sweed; it would be nice to draft phillips but thats a reach
tampa will consider calais campbell over phillip merling since merling had surgery; they will also look to draft a CB or a WR
i like the next 3 picks
tenessee will either draft a DE or a tall WR such as limas sweed, james hardy, or malcolm kelly
the seattle pick is right
jacksonville will probably draft phillip merling or calais campbell instead of groves
san diego will probably aim to draft a RT, nickel corner, or ILB such as dan conner, who is probably the better pick
dallas will probably draft felix jones with the 28th pick to compliment power back marion barber
san francisco will aim at a WR like desean jackson or a OT like gosder cherlius; if both are gone, they will probably aim at DE/OLB quentin groves (who they like a lot) or ILB dan conner
green bay will draft a CB like brandon flowers or antoine cason
the new york giants will aim for a LB like jerod mayo or dan conner
solid mock but you can change several picks
Reply:Don't really like ATL- DT Glenn Dorsey (LSU). Falcons desperately need a QB, so I can't see them passing on Ryan.
With Ryan gone, I would see Chiefs taking Ryan Clady. They need to rebuild their O-line so LJ can dominate again.
Bucs won't take another DE again in the first round. They will either get a WR (Devin Thomas) or a CB like Mike Jenkins if they are still there.
Reply:NE will take Ellis before Rivers if Gholston is gone. Also The Pats have shown alot of interest in Rodgers-Cromartie. There true pick however will probably be no sooner than the late teens if they can find any suckers this years (like they usually do) who want to trade up.
Reply:i think rashard mendenhall will be higher pick top 10 and chargers already said their lookin for a secondary so they are not goin to pick a DE and if the falcons can pick matt ryan they would chose him and jake long will be the first pick becuz they need blockers for ronnie brown
Reply:Ravens are going to be taking a QB, there is no question about that. They need someone, anyone, to fill the spot.
You do have a few logical choices, but I think many of them are wrong.
Reply:I just think DeSean Jackson will actually be higher, possibly go to Chicago, and I think the 49ers would be better suited taking an offensive lineman or a wide receiver over a linebacker.
Reply:I would have to agree that switch the Longs postions, switch Baltimore and Cincy's and Tampa wpi;d probably take a corner or receiver over a DE.
Reply:NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN...
Reply:Sorry, but I had to point this out. Leodis McKelvin went to Troy University. It's no longer called Troy State.
Reply:Looks about right to me except i think ATL will take Matt Ryan and KC will Ryan Clady and i think Philly will take a WR.
Reply:Green Bay won't take Baker. they don't need Tackles. they will draft a CB. or a GUARD. Brandon Flowers is more likely to go to Green Bay then Baker.
Reply:I think that the Eagles will trade up in the draft. And will pick in the top 5.
Reply:i would disagree on philadelphias pick i think they will draft Devin Thomas or Desean Jackson
Reply:I like it but Miami wont take jake long first more likely they will take chris long or gholston
Reply:i hope the Raiders draft Defensive Lineand not McFadden
Reply:Pretty good, switch up Baltimore and Cincys pick, and I dont think the Chiefs will take Ryan
Reply:I think that KC will not pick Ryan but go for either C. Long or Gholston which ever is there. They need a knockout DE.
Reply:Same mock draft as everywhere else
Reply:The Ravens need a QB
Either Ryan or Brohm
Reply:I'm hoping Chris Long is taken by the Rams, so I'm all for it.
Reply:dude, you could probably work for espn with mel kiper. he is really good at this. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:im pretty sure that the saints will take Cromartie
Reply:denver will not draft an ot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:like the mock
Reply:I pretty much agree with most of it. However, I disagree with the Dallas pick(s), the San Diego pick, and the Jacksonville pick. Not to mention you only have three RB's going in the first round. Where's Jonathan Stewart? But the Cowboys won't take Brandon Flowers in the first round. Yeah he's probably the best Corner in this draft. But the problem is he can't run. He was timed in the 40 at 4.78. That's not gonna get you drafted in the first round at CB. This also means he'll only be looked at a Cover 2 corner. Hell definitely slide. And Jacksonville probably won't be taking Quentin Groves in the first round either. Yeah he was a definite first rounder until he suffered a serious injury at Auburn. Now I believe he's a second round pick. But I honestly would'nt blame a team for taking a chance on him in the latter part of the first round.
