Is green bay staff retarded?

i mean giving up our first round was ok for an additional 2nd round pick. but then we take who? jordy nelson? i mean he may fit into our system but we have depth in our WR corps. and with the selection of brian brohm was nice indeed. but do we really need him? chad henne was still on the board not until after we selected brohm before the dolphins. but i still cant see why we didnt address our needs early in the draft. we pick up pat lee late second round when we could have gotten brandon flowers. a more potential prospect. and then still in the late3rd round we dont address our tackle situation in which we need new young talent to fill in the void of our aging lineman. even with the pickup of brandon chiller, i still think we could have used one of our picks to select a linebacker to help add depth and challenge that spot. its just rediculous how the staff dosnt make any moves to try and help a good team even better in the future.

Is green bay staff retarded?
for the past 3 years the Packers have been criticized for who they drafted, and for the past 3 years the Packers proved the critics wrong. i admit, i was a little surprised with Nelson being drafted, but why get mad? Thompson knows what he is doing. perhaps he just wants to make sure our WR corp is strong. after all, Driver is 34 years old now. Brohm was a steal. we did not even look at this guy, but how can you pass up on talent like Brohm? Brandon Flowers is slow and does not fit our philosophy very well. Pat Lee, CB from Auburn is more physical in press coverage, which is what we need. he was a great addition. the trade up to get the DE Jeremy Thompson surprised me, he is from Wake Forest. we have depth at this position, but Thompson ran the same speed off the line as both Chris Long and Vernon Gholston, both top 10 picks. he has long arms as well. his downside is he tore his ACL at the end of his sophmore senior, but looked like he recuperated towards the end of his senior season. Green Bay has down a great job drafting thus far. i continue to support Thompson and his drafting philosophy because he has proven me wrong many times over the past couple years.

remember last year when we drafted WR James Jones in the 3rd Round? ESPN and Kiper criticized this saying he was too slow and will never make it. yet, Jones has emerged as a great WR, best hands of the corp, breaks tackles, and is fast enough to outrun Champ Bailey.
Reply:TT knows what he is doing. And there is a method to his madness. He took Nelson who is a gritty tough WR who will be a great slot guy/returner. Brohm goes without saying Insurance policy. Lee is going to be a good nickle back and need for development behind Woodson and Harris and we picked up a pretty good TE. I would have liked to see Flowers also, but TT sticks to his board and doesn't sway. We picked up a lot of talent here.

Also, the Vikings have no shot at the north. jarvis jackson who?
Reply:I'd give the Packers the benefit of the doubt this year - their last few drafts turned out pretty well even though I hadn't heard of several of the guys they drafted.

I don't get too worked up about any single draft because half (or more) of the picks won't work out for any of the teams anyway. That's why they have 7 more rounds of draft picks next year and the year after etc.
Reply:hey if you think that's bad, check out what the Carolina Panthers did. They gave up 4 draft picks for Jeff Otay? Who's that? He's a offensive tackle!!! First they pick Jonathan Stewart...WHO???? Oh, he's an offensive running back....Has anyone told Jerry Richardson that his team was 31st on defense last year ( that's dead last ) and John Fox is a certifiable, bonefide, idiot!!!
Reply:Hey, at least your not a Bears fan sitting there waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waitng and waiting and waiting for them to grow a sack and take a QB.
Reply:Falcons= more retarded

We have like 5 Safetys and we draft another instead of a D or O linemen....
Reply:The Vikings chances of winning the North just got a little bit better!haha
Reply:yes what are they waiting for! take back brett favre before it's to late. their being a little bit to cocky
Reply:I doubt they are retarded. These people live and breath football so to think you know more then them is a little egotistical. I mean Im a die hard NCAA football fanatic and I hear names Ive never heard of. First of all talk about depth you have no backup QB and you picked up Brohm who is better the Henne and is probably one of the best QBs in college football. Henne couldnt play under pressure but Brohm was always under presseure and still produced.

This a deep draft when it comes to defense and the people who have studied the players seen their combines and have probably watched every game they have played in know more then any one on yahoo, Your tlaking about the same people who picked Favre.
