"Killers' singer blasts Green Day"?

Read the story here: http://www.mp3.com/news/stories/6729.htm...

I'm not really a huge fan of either of the bands (music wise), but seriously, wtf? I can almost forgive the Killers for (hypocritically) dissing Fall Out Boy and Panic! At the Disco, but then on top of that, you start bragging about how you're going to "save the music" and how your new album is "one of the best albums of the past 20 years," and start blasting established bands. Green Day has been around since Brandon Flowers was 7.

Opinions?

"Killers' singer blasts Green Day"?
Well doesn't it seem pretty idiotic to blast Green Day almost a year after "bullet in a Bible" was released?

I mean, come on! "bullet in a Bible" was released last NOVEMBER.

Besides, Green Day's not Anti-American, you can hear it in "BIAB" when they play "Holiday."

Brandon Flowers may be a good singer, but he's definitely misinformed.

That's my opinion.
Reply:Brandon Flowers, as in all the other cases, probably has never even seen "Bullet in a Bible" before.

Well you may or may not know, but Mr. Flowers has also tried to blast Panic! at the disco (even though, I admit, I dislike P!ATD) and Fall Out Boy Report It

Reply:By the way, if you're actually reading this, check this out from the 2005 MTV VMAs in Brandon Flowers's own words:

"I thought we were going to win best rock video, but you just can't beat those Green Day people," said Brandon Flowers, lead singer for The Killers.

For once, Flowers was right. Report It

Reply:The killers need to kill the ego. Seriously, I'd like to see greenday kick their ***.
Reply:Yeah, I really liked their first album, but I think now they (especially Brandon Flowers) are taking themselves and their music too seriously. His comment was plain stupid and I'm not a big fan of Green Day either, but I do think they had a valid statement with American Idiot, while The Killers music was only fun up until now. Brandon's comments make me not want to hear the album.
